Game Recap

The Trojans put together a complete game from start to finish today and it payed off with a 5-1 victory. Longmont opened the scoring in the 2nd minute on a through ball from Orlando Suarez that found Jaime Rivas who put it in the back of the net for his first varsity goal of the season. Mountain View would tie it up in the 6th minute. After that Longmont took control of the game and never looked backed. Orlando Suarez added to his assist total when he found Alan Quintana in the 17th minute to put the Trojans back on top 2-1. The Trojans kept pressing and putting the pressure on Mountain View and were able to add to their lead in the 30th minute with a goal by Brandon Staple, assisted by Jaime Rivas. Brandon Staple would get another before the half in the 39th minute, assisted by Alan Quintana. The Trojans started the second half strong and continued applying the pressure. Orlando Suarez would get a goal in the 47th minute assisted by Brandon Staple. Longmont kept creating chances throughout the second half but were unable to add to the lead. Overall a great team win! They will look to continue the solid team play into Tuesday’s cross town rival game at Silver Creek.
